Fond memories of a trip with two German celebrities

A few years ago I had the pleasure of visiting Canada`s Quebec, “la belle province”, together with two popular German TV actors who have become friends ever since: Claudia Wenzel and Rüdiger Joswig. Claudia has appeared in various popular TV series such as “In aller Freundschaft (In a Spirit of Friendship), “Sturm der Liebe" (Storm of Love) and many more. When arriving at Montreal airport, she was immediately recognized by a Canadian customs officer. This happened again when we had coffee in Montreal and a German tourist asked for autographs of both. Claudia`s husband Rüdiger has become a kind of a legend in his role as Captain Ehlers in “Küstenwache" (Coast Guards). Rüdiger also appeared in many TV productions, including international ones. Apart from being excellent actors, both are wonderful people and I am very proud to have them as friends.

Following are the highlights of our Quebec adventure in late September – including magic cities and the abundant nature this beautiful province has to offer. All photos were taken by Erwin Schneider, a well-known German celeb photographer. Enjoy!

Wellness in Quebec! Our two actors really enjoyed their stay at the Nordic Spa just outside of Montreal – in the midst of pristine nature.

Doesn`t this remind you of Paris? Quebec City has a strong French influence, including painters selling their artwork in the streets.

Canadian cities are close to nature – and Quebec City is no exception. After a walk through the old city Claudia and Rüdiger tried canyoning close to the Montmorency Falls…

A truly Canadian experience … and adventure at its best: canyoning in Quebec

Christmas in September? There is a Christmas shop in Quebec City open year-round – as you can see, Claudia and Rüdiger enjoyed it (she is a big Christmas fan … shshshsh!)

Quebec is heaven for food and wine lovers … and Rüdiger knows a lot about wines…

Canoeing is sooo Canadian – and also typical for Quebec. So our actors had to try this … and did well!

In September, the famous Indian Summer was about to explode in Quebec – some of the maple leaves had already turned into a striking red.

The beautiful Charlevoix region in Quebec is famous for its many art galleries and great bistros – Claudia and Rüdiger had fun tasting beer.

Brave Rüdiger is used to adventures and went first – obviously he had fun!

Claudia was almost dancing above the lake, enjoying Quebec`s pristine nature

Next adventure: whalewatching on the giant St. Lawrence River – just spectacular!

Yes, we saw many whales! Quebec is a mekka for whalewatchers.

After having admired the swimming giants of Quebec, we had a quick view at the Saguenay Fjord.

Montreal is shopper`s paradise – Claudia bought some new clothes…

Prior to their trip back home, Claudia and Rüdiger climbed the Mont Royal and enjoyed the glorious view over Montreal. You can see the tower of the Olympic Stadium on the left.
